RM Technology introduces ClassVR to portfolio by joining Avantis Education global partner network

Education technology and service specialist awarded Platinum Partner status under Avantis Assured

RM Technology has been confirmed as Avantis Education’s latest Platinum Partner, which means the leading supplier of technology and services to the education sector can provide virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) to its UK and Ireland customers for the first time. Awarded under the Avantis Assured partner programme, the accredited status means RM Technology customers now benefit from access to the complete and award-winning ClassVR solution, the world’s leading VR/AR designed exclusively for education.

Commenting on why RM is a strategic partner for Avantis Education, Alistair Hayward, Chief Revenue Officer, said: “We develop education solutions that make the impossible, possible, and actively seek out partners who share this vision. RM is deep rooted in education which aligns perfectly with our own GTM strategy and makes it a great partnership. Based on our combined capabilities, we’ll be delivering increased value to customers, especially Multi-Academy Trusts looking to embed AR/VR into edtech strategies.”

“RM is backed up by a range of educational and technology partnerships which add strength and depth to our solutions,” explains Jason Tomlinson, Managing Director RM Technology. “As the positive impact of VR/AR in education is increasingly recognised, now is the ideal time for us to expand our technology portfolio to provide a VR/AR solution that is designed specifically for teaching and learning.

“The longstanding pedigree of ClassVR in this space, underpinned by extensive training and support from Avantis, makes this a strategic technology vendor partnership for us, and we’re excited for the future.”

ClassVR made its RM debut at the RM Starflight Academy 2.0 launch. Hosted at Oakley Vale Primary School in Corby, and led by renowned astronaut teacher Mike Mongo, the event used ClassVR and space-themed resources to create an immersive learning experience and motivate students to aim for the stars. The four-week programme designed by RM Technology and SaxaVord Spaceport provided Year 5 pupils with interactive and inspiring STEAM resources centred around space education.
